Das Künstlerstädtchen “Tarusa” – Hotel “Jakor” (Tarusa, 74 km, http://tarusa-yakor.ru/) 
The hotel Jakor ist situated in the small city of artists, Tarusa, where a lot of Russian painters, writers and sculptors lived and still live. It’s situated right at the boarder of the Oka river with great landscape and the possibility to make a boat trip to the house of “Polenov”, a famous Russian painter (Regular ships on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 12.00 and back at 15.00. Das Hotel Jakor befindet sich im kleinen Künstlerstädtchen Tarusa direkt am Ufer der Oka. Die grossartige Landschaft zog und zieht immer noch viele russische Schriftsteller, Maler und Bildhauer an. Auf einem Ausflug mit dem Schiff kann man das Haus des berühmten russischen Malers “Polenov” besuchen (Reguläre Fahrten am Mittwoch, Donnerstag und Freitag um 12.00 Uhr und zurück um 15.00 Uhr. Art Park “Nikola Lenivets” (Zvizshi, 77 km, http://nikola-lenivets.com)
A really interesting art park about 2 hours from Kaluga with a lot of fantastic wooden sculptures on a wide territory in a great landscape. You can stay there for the night and there is a biolocial farm where you can eat. Video Nikola Lenivets
Der Kunstpark Nikola Lenivets (ca. 2 Std. von Kaluga entfernt) ist vollgespickt mit fantastischen Holzskulpturen und Installationen, die beim Spaziergang über die weite Anlage immer wieder auftauchen. Es besteht die Möglichkeit dort zu übernachten und auf einem Bio-Bauernhof zu essen.
Swiss Farm “Schweizer Milch” (Gorbjonki, 47 km, http://schweizer-milch.ru/)
Visit the farm “Swiss Milk” near Tovarkovo (about 50 min by car from Kaluga). They have a nice guest house (rooms with toilet and shower) and the farm is surrounded by great nature. Nice trip for families.
Ein Besuch bei den Schweizer Bauern in Tovarkovo (ca. 50 Min. von Kaluga) lohnt sich schon wegen der fantastischen Landschaft. Der Bauernhof verfügt über ein Gästehaus (jedes Zimmer mit Dusche und Toilette) und man kann den Betrieb mit den über 400 Kühen besichtigen. Ideal für Familien.

Bird Park / Vogelpark “Vorobi” (Sovhoz “Pobjeda”, http://www.birdspark.ru, 90 km)
You will not only find a lot of different kind of birds in this park out in the green, there is also a tropical world and other animals like a lynx, squirrels, deers and monkeys. At the weekends there are masterclasses for the kids.
Im wunderschön gelegenen Vogelpark gibt es ausser einer Vielzahl bunter Vögel, auch noch eine Tropenwelt und andere Tiere, wie Luchse, Eichhörnchen, Rehe und Äffchen. An den Wochenenden werden Workshops für die Kinder angeboten.
Ethno-Mir (Petrovo, 105 km, http://ethnomir.ru)
A really big ethno park with houses and objects of different nations, chaning expositions and a lot of different terrific festivals. You can stay overnight in the Belarus, the Ukrainian and the Russian house or in yurts.
Ein grosser Ethno-Park mit Häusern und Gegenständen vieler verschiedener Nationen, wechselnden Ausstellungen und vielen tollen Festivals. Übernachten kann man z.B. im belarussischen, ukrainischen oder russischen Haus oder in der Jurte.
